If you select the 6-hour timer, your lights will stay on for 6 hours and turn off for 18 hours, then automatically turn back on at the same time each day. With the 8-hour timer, your lights will stay on for 8 hours, turn off for 16 hours, then automatically turn back on at the same time each day.
