How to measure your floor tool :

Find a ruler.
Place one end of the ruler on the hollow part of the tube.
Make sure you are measuring in the centre to obtain an accurate diameter.
Measure in millimeters from one end of the circle to the other.
This measurement will determine the size tool/attachment you require. Commonly these are 32mm, 35mm and 36mm/38mm for larger commercial vacuum cleaners.
If measuring the extension tube please ensure the measurement is taken from the end that attaches to the floor tool.
